Protecting the rights of all lunar bodies

The Captains Log 25/11

System: Empire Space

Ship: Armegddon Class Battleship

CONCORD Preservation and Recovery has had its first blood letting. After scouting a series of systems for potential targets we came across a few that matched our prerequisites. We even manged to pick up some recruits, Siona Aterus (a reader of my blog), Ariel Luv (a I.M.M alt) and Cire Xinehp, who we recruited from the forums.

The first target was a small onlined Caldari Control Tower that contained three labs owned by Crimson Mining Faction. While we wouldn’t normally try for a onlined POS we wanted to give it ago to see how it would work out. As it turned out it was quite easy. The owner of the tower proceeded to pull it down as soon as we put in the war dec and abuse Daquaris in local the whole time. According to him we were not going to get the statisfaction of taking his POS or his labs. Unfortunately for him he left the tower while it was being unanchored and Daquaris took it. That was very satisfying, though we would have preferred the labs.

[12:01:22] natey > lol u think u can scoop up a launched tower?

*scoops tower*

[12:05:36] natey > i hope these are all alts in that corp

The next target was a large POS owned by The Eternal Knights, which had some 30 faction modules anchored around it offering a nice potential payout. As it turns out though the owner was active and onlined the POS, which had a DeathStar setup. I guess some people don’t like to share their labs around. Once I saw this I tried to bluff them into paying us a ransom, but he called the bluff so we retracted the war dec. We had no desire to try and take out a DeathStar.

Intrepid Slayer > hi

Epimithius09 > gday

Intrepid Slayer > i am curious as to the war dec ?

Epimithius09 > did you read our corps discription?

Intrepid Slayer > yes, but it is no longer offline

Epimithius09 > well there you got now you know why we war deced you

Intrepid Slayer > and u actually plan to continue ?

Epimithius09 > damaging the moons is not good : )

Intrepid Slayer > hehe so i’ve read

Epimithius09 > well you know we will just use a interceptor to run you guns dry then incapacitate them and blow up the pos : )

Intrepid Slayer > except for fake that they will all be controlled …

Intrepid Slayer > fact

Intrepid Slayer > *

Epimithius09 > doesnt matter they will run out of ammo

Epimithius09 > very hard to hit a ceptor

Epimithius09 > with pos guns that is

Intrepid Slayer > lol and why would i bother shooting the ceptor

Epimithius09 > we wont bring our BS in till we they run out of ammo

Intrepid Slayer > gl to u anyway, you’ll need it …

Epimithius09 > luck has nothing to do with it

The third target was much better. It was a medium Dread Guristas POS that was offlined owned by MASS HOMICIDE. This POS had 6 labs anchored around along with the usual assortment of guns and EWAR. It took a little bit to take down this POS but we got their netting us nice billion isk payout. Think ill use my share to by a carrier skillbook.

Target four was a small offlined Caldari Control Tower owned by Savage Enterprises had a single lab on it. This POS fell to our combined might very quickly, and was a massive imporvement compared to our first try at taking out a small POS (single BS and two destroyers).

The death of a POS

Target 5 was a medium Dark Blood POS owned by The Sobani. This one contained a number of Dark Blood Medium Pulse Batteries that offered us a nice payout. It was a little harder to kill, but die it did.

After this POS we moved onto our mercenary contract (post coming soon)
