Well today I left OUCH and joined another corp. The reasons for this was that I felt that I didn’t have the time available I needed to devote to teaching OUCHs new recruits due Uni starting up again and that I also wanted to be in a PvP focused corp that was good at what it did.
So I decided to ask an old contact, Hallan Turrek, if Noir. was recruiting new pilots. As it turned out they were and after filling in their application form and having a recruitment interview I was accepted into the ranks of Noir. So now I am you local mercenary ready to fight for cause that isn’t mine and take ISK offered to me with a greedy glint in my eye.

Over at K162 space Blake asked what the worst loss we have was and did it make us want to quite to emo rage around the room for a bit.
Well the worst loss I have ever had was this Ferox I had fitted with a Pithium A-Type Shield Booster I bought using Plexs. With it fitted I thought I was invincible, even more so when I was running explorations sites where I would have to be probed down (this was with the old probing mechanics). Unfortunately, this proved to be not the case as I got killed fairly easly by a small group of pirates while finishing of a exploration site. Infract I was just warping out as they came in and tackled me. Did I explode in emo rage after this? No I didn’t, as it was not a big deal. It is a game.
The only losses that really annoy me are ones that are due to not my bad piloting skills but my internet disconnecting, the power going out or server lag, much like this loss. In other words things out of my control.
I seem to be a little a late on the ball for most posts like this buy hey I get there, so with out further ado my Eve Space.
As you can see I run a tri screen set up on which I can run all three of my Eve accounts, the center one is 22″ while the other two are both 19″, if I had them any bigger I doubt they would fit on my desk. You will also notice that I have a Australian Flag above my desk, very important : )

The last week or so I have been dealing with the fallout of attacking Chribba and then being kicked out of the alliance along with my old corp I.M.M. For the most part this has involved moving assets out of Esoteria and then setting up shop elsewhere.
I.M.M has joined Black Star Alliance, a alliance allied with IT (former BoB) and have began to help in the push to take fountain from Pandemic Legion.
I on the other hand, have taken my leave of I.M.M and have joined another corp, the Open University of Celestial Hardship (OUCH) as a PvP trainer. I promised Alexia (AKA Black Claw) that if I ever got kicked from Sys-k I would join him in training new students. Well I got kicked so now I’m fulfilling my promise.
For those who don’t know about OUCH, it is a null sec survival training corp that, as you can no doubt guess, teachs people how to survive in null sec. As an aside we are always after more trainers so if you want to help out talk to Alexia. So far I have promoted a couple of training course consisting of Wolf Packs, T1 frigate fleets which will go live this weekend, and I am also in the process of planning a little game that involves getting a Hauler out of deep null sec. A most important skill if you want to get all the loot out and your assets in.
In between laying down the foundations for my course I have been ratting out in Curse in my Ishkur to repairer my sec status. Fortunately, this little trial is now over and I can now go anywhere in High Sec again! I have to say though an Ishkur is a little slow for ratting; I think I will have to use my Drake next time.
There were a couple of close calls with a Cynabl pilot (faction cruiser). First off he warped into a belt with me and I got out just before he got into disrupter range and then a little latter as he jumped through a gate with me forcing me to cloak up on the other side. He then proceeded to try and decloak me, coming to within 5km before he gave up and left me alone in peace. Phew, I didn’t want to have to and get a new ship.
Once my sec status was repaired my first port of call was Amarr where I bought my self a lovely new Eagle, for which I have great plans.
Now that the majority of the Carebearing is out of the way, its time to get some more PvP time in, teach some students and more importantly get those kills coming in.

Well my attacks on Chribba have being making the rounds in more official news circles lately.
First there was this article, Chribbas Butterfly War, written by Mike Azariah in the Eve Tribune which gives a nice run down of what was going through the minds of all the involved parties. However it is only on page 3! Should be the front page : )
Then the Interstellar Correspondents released a in game news articles, Eco-Terrorists Attack Chribba’s Starbases; Capsuleers Rally To Defend, which gave me much more publicity.
There has being a couple of blog posts about it as well, one by Hallan Turek and the other by Manasi.

After running the Guristas Epic Arc mission I had myself a Gila BPC which I then used to build me a Gila. Now I have wanted the Gila ever since I saw the changes that were being made to them, however there is another ship I wanted even more, so I sold the Gila to Daquaris and bought the Pride of the Pantheon.

So now I have a new capital ship in my little fleet, a Chimera. So far I have only used it in running some anomalies, for which it is a bit of overkill. Hopefully, I’ll be able use it in battle soon.

Well after much ISK gathering my wallet has recovered from when I bought my Phoenix so I am finally able to fit and insure my Phoenix. It has been a long time coming but it is finally battle ready; and just in time as we are invading Period Basis which is predominately held by Zenith Affinity a GoonSwarm ally. A few systems are held by GoonSwarm as well, which is where we are attacking. The maiden voyage of the Valkyrie was a short heady to our home system in Esoteria.
The first leg of my journey to Esoteria via a cyno beacon to low sec.
Unfortunately that is the end of the road for now as I am going on holidays for a few days. See you all when I get back.
The Captains Log 9/11

Well over the last week I have finished a number of skills. Prometheus09 trained about 9 level one skills to two, mainly because I decided I had to many level one skills (I only realised afterwards that the implants in my head weren’t giving me bonuses for those skills). He now has only 3 level one skills, 52 level two, 42 level 3, 58 level 4 and 41 level 5 giving him a total of 196 skills. Also this week Prometheus09 crossed the 30 million skill point mark.
Caladan09 finished training Metallurgy 5 and trained up Scrapmetal processing so he now has a perfect refine rate. This was also coupled with me getting a standing of 6.7 with the Emperor Family Bureau meaning I don’t get taxed on refining at their stations. Using these skills I have being buying modules, reprocessing them and then selling the minerals for a profit. Doing this has increased my wallet from a little over 300 milling to 400 million. However, all the profit I have made doing this has being used for Operation Garbage Removal (more to come soon). Ah well I’ll get the ISK I need to fit my dread soon enough.
Fishy Night also has all the skills he needs to fly a Carrier now (minus the Carrier skillbook which costs 500 million) so now I have to decide what to do with him. At the moment he is just training up support skills for drones.
Blog wise I have put in a new plugin, LightBox, which will bring up a larger picture on screen when you click on the link (for those who haven’t noticed, the first word in my pictures captions in the From the Viewport series is a hyperlink). I have also tried to put in a Google Analytics Plugin, however I get the error message that I don’t have sufficient privileges to perform that action. Strange considering I own this site.

Skills
Over the last month Prometheus09 has trained up Anchoring 5, allowing me to deploy large T2 warp bubbles and then train up Starbase Defence Management so I can now use POS guns. Caladan09 Has finished training Minmitar Cruiser 5 giving him access to a lot of the Minmitar T2 cruisers and in particular the Rapier. However, he doesn’t have the gunnery skills to use T2 projectile weapons yet. Fishy Night is progressing down the Carrier skill path. He can now use fighters and the Capital Shield Rep.
ISK/Standings.
Until Goons showed up I had being ratting away quite happily so I had about 450 million ISK. However this ISK has been spent on some implants and skill books so now I only have 280 million. The little bit of ratting I did got Prometheus09’s sec status up -3.91 so I can now enter some High sec systems. Caldan09 has being running missions to get his standing up for the Emperor Family, which now at 5.58 (need it at about 6.7).
Combat
The big news for this month was the invasion of Esoteria by GoonSwarm. This war was over in one week with GoonSwarm pulling out of Esoteria after our allies got involved. Prior to that was the Hulkagedon Weekend which involved the slaughter of close to 100 hulks by a 14 corporations, of which I.M.M was one. Hulkageddon also make it into the in Game news along with I.M.M.
Blog
As you can all see I have acquired my own blog and have left PodLogs. The desire to move the blog arose because I wanted to customaries it a bit more, which I could not do on PodLogs. Also I have also being getting some fan mail over the last month or so, most of it in regards to killing Macro Miners and the Hulkageddon Weekend (Shout outs to RED84, Rafferius Isilyium, Saaren Karnasis). I also had one person write an entire blog post about my Hulk killing actions. You should read his post as it is well written and gives some good advice on how to survive a suicide gank. Apparently I hate sand castles as well, which is totally wrong. I love sand castles so long as they are mine.
The Future
Skill wise Prometheus09 now has a bit of direction as I’m going to get him into a fleet fit Apocalypse, which will take about 70 days as I have to train up T2 Tachyon Beam Lasers. Caladan09 is training up scrap metal processing as it is going to be need in my new trading plan so I can make ISK. Once that is done he will be training to use T2 projectile weapons to go on the Minmitar ships he will be using. Fishy Night will continue on with his carrier training, which is nearly done. ISK wise ill continue ratting and will be putting my new trading plan into action soon.
