The Captains Log 5/12

System: Itamo; The Forge

Ship: Armageddon Class Battleship

The main reason for existence CONCORD Preservation and Recovery is to hit POS that we find so we can strip their modules,. However sometimes its good to do new things so we couldn’t resist doing mercenary contract we found while going through the forums about a corporation wanted to hire out some mercenaries to take out a couple of large POS’s. After a bit of haggling we came to a agreeable price and the details were worked out and we initiated the war decs against Cytoserocin Reactive Electron Phase Enhancements and the Royal Khanid Laboratories. As both POS were in the same system we staggered the war decs to ensure that hostiles from one corp would not interfere in other corps war dec. As it turned out this precaution was unnecessary as we did not see a single war target. It was only a matter of time before the POS fell to the combined might of our lasers and drones. As soon as we had taken out the POS’s our client anchored and onlined their towers (one and two) making it a successful mission, leaving us with some nice ISK and a thank you letter

Great service. I hired them for a recent job, and they were nothing but professional and timely. Everything went smoothly with outstanding customer service. I will definitely use again. I recommend this corp to anyone.

CEO

Hopefully we will get some more contracts soon. If you want to hire us read this post here.

The Captains Log 25/11

System: Empire Space

Ship: Armegddon Class Battleship

CONCORD Preservation and Recovery has had its first blood letting. After scouting a series of systems for potential targets we came across a few that matched our prerequisites. We even manged to pick up some recruits, Siona Aterus (a reader of my blog), Ariel Luv (a I.M.M alt) and Cire Xinehp, who we recruited from the forums.

The first target was a small onlined Caldari Control Tower that contained three labs owned by Crimson Mining Faction. While we wouldn’t normally try for a onlined POS we wanted to give it ago to see how it would work out. As it turned out it was quite easy. The owner of the tower proceeded to pull it down as soon as we put in the war dec and abuse Daquaris in local the whole time. According to him we were not going to get the statisfaction of taking his POS or his labs. Unfortunately for him he left the tower while it was being unanchored and Daquaris took it. That was very satisfying, though we would have preferred the labs.

[12:01:22] natey > lol u think u can scoop up a launched tower?

*scoops tower*

[12:05:36] natey > i hope these are all alts in that corp

The next target was a large POS owned by The Eternal Knights, which had some 30 faction modules anchored around it offering a nice potential payout. As it turns out though the owner was active and onlined the POS, which had a DeathStar setup. I guess some people don’t like to share their labs around. Once I saw this I tried to bluff them into paying us a ransom, but he called the bluff so we retracted the war dec. We had no desire to try and take out a DeathStar.

Intrepid Slayer > hi

Epimithius09 > gday

Intrepid Slayer > i am curious as to the war dec ?

Epimithius09 > did you read our corps discription?

Intrepid Slayer > yes, but it is no longer offline

Epimithius09 > well there you got now you know why we war deced you

Intrepid Slayer > and u actually plan to continue ?

Epimithius09 > damaging the moons is not good : )

Intrepid Slayer > hehe so i’ve read

Epimithius09 > well you know we will just use a interceptor to run you guns dry then incapacitate them and blow up the pos : )

Intrepid Slayer > except for fake that they will all be controlled …

Intrepid Slayer > fact

Intrepid Slayer > *

Epimithius09 > doesnt matter they will run out of ammo

Epimithius09 > very hard to hit a ceptor

Epimithius09 > with pos guns that is

Intrepid Slayer > lol and why would i bother shooting the ceptor

Epimithius09 > we wont bring our BS in till we they run out of ammo

Intrepid Slayer > gl to u anyway, you’ll need it …

Epimithius09 > luck has nothing to do with it

The third target was much better. It was a medium Dread Guristas POS that was offlined owned by MASS HOMICIDE. This POS had 6 labs anchored around along with the usual assortment of guns and EWAR. It took a little bit to take down this POS but we got their netting us nice billion isk payout. Think ill use my share to by a carrier skillbook.

Target four was a small offlined Caldari Control Tower owned by Savage Enterprises had a single lab on it. This POS fell to our combined might very quickly, and was a massive imporvement compared to our first try at taking out a small POS (single BS and two destroyers).

The death of a POS

Target 5 was a medium Dark Blood POS owned by The Sobani. This one contained a number of Dark Blood Medium Pulse Batteries that offered us a nice payout. It was a little harder to kill, but die it did.

After this POS we moved onto our mercenary contract (post coming soon)

Check out our Recruitment post if you want to participate.

The Captains Log 14/11

System: Amarr, Domain

Station: Emperor Family Academy

The lunar environments found throughout New Eden offer some of the most unique geological landscapes to be found throughout the cluster. Currently, though these geological wonders are being destroyed at an alarming rate by the aggressive strip mining of lunar materials, particularly out in Null Sec space. Seeing the positional destruction to the lunar surfaces in High Sec CONCORD has prevented the use of moon harvesting arrays in High Sec space in an attempt to save the lunar environments it has jurisdiction over.

However, this is not enough, as there is a more insidious danger to lunar environments, in the form of abandoned Control Towers and their associated modules. While in operation the owners of starbases have to comply with strict guidelines that prevent damage to the lunar surfaces they are anchored above to help preserve the geological formations found on moons. However, once a starbase is abandoned and left in orbit above a lunar body the resifule contaminates found inside a starbase, such as enriched uranium, various isotopes and heavy water, are prone to leaking out of the control tower and damaging the lunar surface.

Due to this CONCORD Preservation and Recovery aims to remove abandoned starbases from lunar orbit in an effort to help the lunar surfaces recover to their natural state and then preserve these geological wonders found on lunar surfaces for the future enjoyment of the citizens of New Eden.

Well as you all know Daq and I have started to kill POS’s we find in high sec, so we started a new Corporation just do that, which we have called CONCORD Preservation and Recovery.

 The Captains Log 11/11

System: Hakeri, Metropolis

Station: Sebiestor Triber Bureau

Flying the far reaches of Empire space I am absolutely appalled by the amount POS’s and POS modules just left lying around with no one to take care of them. They are cluttering up good space which could be put to better use by other people. So Daquaris and I have decided to something about it.

The idea had come up while where Ganking Hulks and was fairly simple. We would set up an alt corp and put in some alts in it who could fly Amarr Battleships (don’t have to reload ammo) and then war dec any corp who had an offlined POS just sitting on moons doing nothing. Now I know what you are thinking. Why would we want to spend hours POS bashing just to remove someone else’s POS? Well there is a simple reason for our seeming madness; after you blow up the control tower the modules that were anchored around it can be unanchored and stolen. This can net a person a nice tidy profit.

So that is what we did. Daq created a couple of new alts, though they can only fly cruisers and destroyers at the moment, while I had one alt that could already fly a Armageddon and another one that already had some gunnery support skills trained, though would still have to train for Amarr ships.  We located our target POS owned by the corporation R.I.P… a 10 man corperation. Well they did have 10, as soon as Daq war deced them (at the time it was just him in the alt corp) three of their members bailed out. Hmm good to see the corp loyalty is nice and strong there. We then spent the next few hours POS bashing and even managed to gain some interest from some of Daq’s old corp members who joined in for a little bit. The only highlight in the whole op was when R.I.P…’s CEO logged in system and promptly logged off. Well I guess that means he doesn’t want his POS. We would have ransomed it if he had of asked as it would have saved us a bit of time.

After a few hours of watching the shields drop ever so slowly we were rewared with the pretty explosion of a POS being removed from existence.

Destruction of the R.I.P… POS.

We promptly unanchored the two Mobile Laboratories and the Experimental Laboratory and took them home with us. We didn’t want them to fell unloved. In fact they felt so loved that they even gave us an Atron and Thorax BPO that one of the labs contained. This netted us a nice 380 million ISK.

However, the night was not yet over for me. A little latter I went out scouting for another POS to blow up and guess what I found. An unanchored Minmitar Control Tower. Well what can I say, it was now mine. Well it was after I found out I couldn’t use the Bestower the corp had, or that an Iteron I I bought didn’t have enough room to fit in its cargo hold whiched forced me run to around and buy an Iteron V before I could steal it. Another 355 mill for me : ) I can just about afforded to fit my Phenoix now.

Well we have another POS lined up to shoot, which should go a little faster considering that we should have more Battlecruisers to use on the next one and it isn’t going to be a Minmitar POS with large EM and thermal resists.
